Bottle feeding an EBF baby
Ok... mama needs help! My babe is 3 months, exclusively breastfed mostly because I’ve just been home with maternity leave turning into working from home because of COVID. I have only intended to breastfeed for 6 months tops.
Anyways. He’s taken a bottle a total of 4 times. Twice with dr browns from my husband when he was probably 5 weeks old. With the anticipation of me returning to the office sometime this month depending on state mandates, we decided to re-introduce a bottle. He’d no longer take the dr browns so I tried a Mam that was sent to me as a sample. He took it almost no problem, twice. Hooray! I ordered more Mam bottles. Every time since he screams bloody murder and absolutely will not take a bottle anymore.
He cries as soon as I cradle him almost like in anticipation. So my two questions are -
What position do you bottle feed your breastfed baby? Do you try to make it similar to how you nurse them?
What bottle brand worked for you? I know all baby’s are so different, but just curious.
Thanks in advance!!!
