Advice *UPDATE*

So I need some advice please..

I work at a home improvement store. I work at the customer service desk and there is this guy who works back in the cabinet desk.

It all started when I tried to get this guy to meet my mom, I started talking and hanging around him more. By doing this, we both started to develop this crush on one another.

I want to pursue things with him, but I’m a bit nervous to...

He’s 45 and I’m 22 (23 next month) I have honestly NEVER pictured myself with someone who is over twice my age, but for some reason I can’t help but to be attracted to him.

We are both recently out of relationships so if anything does happened between us, it will be awhile. I’m not ready to jump into anything just yet.

Do you guys think that the age is just way too much?

I do plan on talking with him about certain things regarding on moving forward, there are some ground rules that I need to set in place before we jump into anything at all.

I just want your opinions...

Please nothing harsh, I have seriously never fallen for someone who is that much older than me...

UPDATE

So my mom figured out that liked this guy after I tried hooking them up..

She is completely against the idea of me even being friends with this guy saying that he should even know better than to go after me being half his age....

She called me immature and naive and him being attracted to me is a red flag...

He and I BOTH have agreed that we’re not ready to jump into a relationship right now, but we both think that establishing a strong friendship would be a good idea..

Please, I need more advice..

It’s hard to ignore what my mom says/thinks because right now, I live with her..
