I always hear scary stories of women being pregs having a period and not knowing ! Scares me to death 
How common is this?
Can it happen ????
I'm worried like I'm getting a period but Idk these stories of women giving birth with no signs before scare me

Answer

It’s honestly not as common as it seems. Also, it’s impossible to be pregnant & have an actual menstrual period. A period is literally the shedding of an unfertilized egg & ur uterine lining (which needs to remain intact for a pregnancy to survive). However, other bleeding could happen during pregnancy, but not usually, and if it happens it’s typically nothing like a normal period. If someone is pregnant & experiencing normal period-like bleeding then they need to see their doctor asap, as it’s usually a sign of some complication.
