My son was TERRIFIED of masks!

So i just have to share this shit show of an appointment 🙃

First, he was rescheduled the day before his original 12 month appointment for this Monday. As was most of America. It sucked but i understood.

Then yesterday morning i get a call from the nurse at his pediatrician office that they are only taking sick babies and aren’t doing well baby appointments. so i had to call the appointment line to reschedule again for a totally new clinic and pediatrician. This was frustrating because they’ve changed their policy so many times that even the lady on the appointment line was frustrated that they are rescheduling patients AGAIN.

So anyways, i was able to get a same day appointment for the new clinic and took my son in. It never even dawned on me that he’s never seen me or anyone in masks. He did original oly see me put mine on because i put it on after i had him strapped in his stroller. So when the guy greeted us at the door in his mask he lost it. And then when he looked up at me he lost it even more. And then again when the nurse called us back and measured and weighed him. And they only allowed one parent per child to I’m scrambling to take his clothes off while he’s freaking out on a table that he clearly was too big for. I was expecting them to let him stand to get weighed. Otherwise i would have dressed him different.

So then once we got to the room he settled down just i time for the nurse to bring his shots 🤦‍♀️ yesterday was not fun.
