definitely depends on the person. i like both texting and calling in general but it really depends on who i'm talking with. i do like texting for the sole reason of if i can't figure out what to say or how to respond i can think of something and not be pressured to come up with a response on the spot on the phone. some of my friends suck at texting and are dry and it's just way easier to call them over the phone and talk and have a conversation while with other friends it can be more awkward on the phone so i rather just text.

There should be a both option. I like texting, but there are lots of times I would rather call. A casual convo is fine over text, but if something is important or urgent or just needing a lot of information I would rather do it over a call.
