Landlord issues

Hello!! Me and my fiance are currently living in a place that is falling apart and we are expecting a baby girl in August so of course we are moving. We found a home for purchase and my fiance has decided to buy it for us but not only that but he's paying off the whole thing at once!! I'm so excited but my landlord some how found out about it. He has texted me telling me he disapproves and that we "owe" him because he held the rental for us.... over a year ago! He also yelled at me across a parking lot the other day and almost put me in tears! Our lease is up on June 1st and we won't have the keys until July. We want to sign 1 more month (we've been doing 6 month leases but month by month was always an option) what happens if he just tells us to leave? How much time do we have to be out?? We live in saskatchewan canada
