How do you get through it?

My boyfriend is joining the army, and is leaving a few short months, how’d did you guys past the time and make it go by faster and not hurt as much?

My husband left may 4th to the army and I'm still having a tough time because my daughter misses him. Time will go by fast hopefully lol.

The best thing you can do is focus on yourself. Routinely Plan things to do and places to go so you have something to look forward to and things to focus on besides your boyfriend.

Write a letter pretty much every day & when you get his address you can mail them to him. When you're having a really bad day, write a burn letter about how much you hate him being gone etc and then burn/rip/destroy it. Pick a hobby you love and start a project, or learn a new hobby you've been interested in. Plan something fun or a surprise for when you're together next. Join a book club? New video game?

I worked two jobs, pursued my Master’s degree, and l wrote a lot of letters. But I’m a military brat, so being used to the lifestyle definitely helped.
