Subtle hints

Don’t you just love when people give you their opinions on what to name your baby? When the MIL asked what we were naming our daughter, he responded to her and made sure to say that we were THINKING about naming her Kinsley. Of course she had the remark of “isn’t that a boys name?” He explained to her that no, it can be used gender neutral 🙄 Anyway, fast forward and she tells everyone that her name IS Kinsley, which like I mentioned, was being considered and not set in stone. So they show up to the baby shower with signs that say Kinsley on them. Now I’m completely turned off by the name, but she doesn’t know this. So today, she tries to be subtle and says “so I was thinking... Leya is a really nice name!” Like, no thanks lol. She still thinks her name will be Kinsley and she hates it so much that she’s trying to push different ones on me. This is exactly why I never told anyone about names, I know for a fact she will have a comment about the name that I’m now leaning towards but no one will know it until her birth anyway!!! Gotta love the very opinionated and entitled mother in laws!
