What could this be?!! Pregnant?

I’m currently having off and on brown spotting which has lasted for around a week. I missed my pill a couple times this month and have had unprotected sex twice in the last 2 weeks, with with my boyfriend having came in me. So I was wondering if anyone has experienced brown spotting before finding out they were pregnant?! Having a few symptoms & period is due in a couple days, so just wanted to see what you guys think!
