Apparently I am a duck mom
So I got this coop that was supposed to be for my future baby chicks that I’m hatching out.
But now theres baby ducks in it.
Why? I don’t know. My mom apparently does impulsive things when in mourning, and “bought me two baby ducks not thinking about the fact that I have 7 baby chickens due to hatch in a week. They’ll be here in 10 minutes.”
So. I now am a duck mother. The dog was intrigued and then walked away.

I... don’t... I don’t know why she did this.
But they in the coop all safe and warm after having a good swim.
Just enjoy my baby duck pictures. Yes I know how to care for ducks. I’ve been caring for chickens/ducks my whole life.
I forgot to add this picture
Shake it off little ducky

Tomorrow, they’re getting a bath.
Yes. They’re very cute. But they smell like wet farts. Like where on earth did you come from who raised you. I think that’s why the dog ran away too. So, tomorrow I am going to bathe them and I’ll post pictures of that. I think we may have rubber duckies we can add to the bath.
Here’s an update on them. They’re freaking HUGE

They’re clingy to me. I think that’s because I’ve been their main caregiver. If I go a long time without visiting with them they just scream and cry until I go see them according to my mom and according to their hollers I hear while walking up to the brooder/coop.
During the day now they get to roam free (we have a completely fenced in yard and all of our animals roam) and they are loving that.
I’ve also discovered that I’m allergic to duck scratches.
I still haven’t decided on names. Guys, I’ve been so deep in mourning that duck names have not been my top priority. But I’ve been jokingly calling them turkeys.
