Cat litter and pregnancy. HALP!
Ok so, I just found out I’m pregnant. 5 weeks
I had to change my cats litter, obviously.. and I wore gloves, I held my breath and breathed the other direction lmao, and then I washed my hands afterwards.
I got worried and read up online that if you have to change your cats litter when pregnant, to do so with gloves and wash your hands after.
It also says toxoplasmosis (the reason pregnant women shouldn’t change litter) is RARE, and contracted in cats that hunt prey, or get fed raw meat.
My cat is an indoor cat. Doesn’t “hunt prey” or eat mice. And she doesn’t get fed raw meat.
Should I be worried or just chill the fuck out???? Lmao
I’ll be getting my husband to change it from here on out but... I just got a little worried for a sec. Thought I’d ask!
