High risk HPV

I had a pap test done last October. My pap came back normal but my HPV test came back positive. The nurse called to tell me the results and I asked her if I was low risk or high risk and she said I was low risk and my doctor wanted me to come back in a year for a retest. I emailed my doctors office just to ease my mind earlier this week and asked them to confirm it was low risk. I just logged into my patient portal and they had emailed me back and it said " according to your results, you are high risk" so now I'm confused and super super scared because I know the high risk can cause cervical cancer. This whole time I was thinking I was low risk and apparently I'm high risk. Really freaking out. They didn't say I needed to come back for any other tests, just said I needed to return for a retest in a year to see if it's cleared. I've also been with my partner for 15 years, neither of us has cheated so I dont know how I got it or when.
