Baby always spit up his Vitamin drops, does it mean he doesn’t get enough vitamin D and has negative effect?

Hi, my baby is exclusively breastfed and every time when I give him his Vitamin drops, he would spit up some of it as much as possible since he hates the taste.. I need to give him 1ml, but I think every time after he spits up, he only takes 0.6-0.8 ml actually, is that enough for him? Or shall I give one more time with 0.3ml for example? Thank you very much!

Take an extra vitamin D supplement and itll pass through your milk

Or put the drop directly on your nipple when you go to feed him! That was an option I was told and I used it. It was an easy way to give it.

Is it possible to pump some breast milk into a bottle to mix the drops with? I had to do that for my daughter.

We couldn’t use any...and we tried MANY brands, baby would spit up any way we tried to give them. I did a little digging and asking my new pediatrician who basically said it’s not a life or death thing... as long as my diet is well balanced and I’m taking my prenatal with enough D in it I didn’t need to worry much. We just watched closer for any issues related to low D

Most likely just doesn’t sit well with his stomach, try a different brand. I used this one and the dosage is literally just a drop
