Second trimester??

When does the second trimester start? I’ll be 13w tomorrow and I’m reading some people count that as the beginning of the second trimester and some people count 14w as the beginning..

I think it depends where u are in britain we class 13 weeks as the start of the second trimester but in America they class week 14 as the start

ACOG states second trimester starts at 14w0d, so that’s what I go by 🤷🏻‍♀️

It’s such mixed messages. Everyone was telling me 14 when I asked but then as soon as I got to 13 weeks the app said congrats on reaching your 2nd trimsester. So I’m going by 13 personally. Also TRImester.. TRI Is 3. So I’m going with 13 weeks since 39 would be split evenly 3 ways.

Technically 13.3 weeks but some round it down to 13, some round up  to 14. I personally don’t understand why round it to 14 when it’s under .5 so I have always said 13.

I’m so confused on this as well!!! I think it’s after the 13th week so the start of the 14th?? I will be 13 weeks on Sunday!
