Bedside Bassinets?

My first used the pack and play which worked great for us next to the bed. But, I’m considering a bedside bassinet for our second little girl. I really don’t like the Halo’s. The base just looks flimsy (I understand that may not be the case but, we have 3 large dogs and it just doesn’t look sturdy enough for me). I like the ones where the side goes down a little and rests on the side of the bed. Or maybe we should just do a pack and play again? My daughter didn’t use the pack and play for anything other than sleep, we have a huge gated area for playtime so it’s only function for us is for sleep until it’s time to move to her crib. Looking for thoughts, please.
