What does labor feel like with an epidural??

Hi ladies! 
I was recently scheduled to have a c-section, but due to baby moving we are able to have a “normal” birth. I plan on getting an epidural, but still have an ongoing fear of delivering. I’ve noticed I now get anxiety (which I never do) just thinking about the situation.. For those who have gone through labor with an epidural, what does it feel like? Is there still pain or is it mostly pressure? TIA 💕

To me it felt like heaven lol. After I got my epidural I slept for couple hours,then woke up,pushed three times and that’s it. Btw it was my first pregnancy and I’m planning to use it again with my second son.

Felt heavenly!  I slept so well before I dilated enough to start pushing haha.  But after a few sets of pushing they had to stop the epidural so I could push harder, the epidural made me lazy I guess.

If it’s done right, there should be no pain but you should be able to feel pressure so you’ll know when to push. 
For my first they over did it or did it wrong and I felt nothing at all, which you would think would be fine. But if you can’t tell if your pushing too much or too little it can complicate things. Push too hard and you could tear. Too little and it could stress baby out. 
My second was perfect though, I felt no pain but felt pressure and when it was time to push, I knew!

I was in labor for 18 hours with my first and determined to do unmedicated. 9 hours in I was only at 5 centimeters and couldn’t stand it anymore. I was shaking so badly from the pain. Got the epidural and NAPPED 🙌🏻 it was amazing! Especially because I went into labor late at night so we never slept at that point. 
8 hours later I was still at 5 centimeters and my OB said if I didn’t dilate more within that next hour he’d have to give me pitocin. Well I dilated the other 5 centimeters in an hour and I don’t even want to begin to think what that would of felt like without the epidural. 
Labor was super simple. I felt the pressure from contractions, so I knew when to push, but I had zero pain or discomfort with it. I tore a smidge and didn’t feel that or getting stitched up. 
I’m all team epidural 😂

Epidural felt like a bee sting, then intense pressure. And then pressure when it was time to push. So definitely worth it (to me).

I only felt pressure and no pain at all. Honestly the epidural hurt me more than pushing an actual baby out of my vag 🤷🏼‍♀️

I suppose it is probably different for everyone. With my first pregnancy I got an epidural and it only worked on half of my body. I ended up having an episiotomy and I felt it cause the epidural did not work. My third pregnancy I had the epidural and it worked I just ended up feeling a lot of pressure and that’s it.

I didn’t feel a thing bc I was in so much pain from contractions. He placed it and was done and I was none the wiser til it kicked in d I was relieved of the horrible pain of contractions.
