When does third trimester start?

So I was told by all my apps that tomorrow I start my third trimester (27 weeks tomorrow). My friends and mom are like no not until 28 weeks. But I'm confused because tomorrow makes it 3 months until due date. So which is it 27 or 28??

I go by 28 weeks since it’s only a week difference anyways, and that’s what my doctor goes by.

It’s like 27w and some odd days so most go with 28w. I just go with 27 🤷🏽‍♀️

I say 27 because of the direct math. 13.333 weeks per trimester so rounded up 3rd would start at 27 weeks. It truly doesn't matter though,  it's just a week.

I look at it this way - 40 divided by 3 is like 13.333 something so I say the second trimester starts at 26.6 so I just go with 27.
