Potty training

My son is about 13 months old. He does t show any potty training readiness signs yet. I say let change your diaper and he runs to his bedroom where the diaper stuff is. That’s about it.

I told my husband that when he goes to the bathroom it’s a good idea to have our son go with him to watch and talk about it. Our son goes to the bathroom with me everyday since I’m a SAHM.

My husband agreed it would be a good idea but he was worried our son would put his hands in the toilet while he was peeing or put his hands in his pee stream.

Have anyone else’s husbands/SO gone through this?

I said it needs to be done and if our son does put his hand in pee it the toilet then you wash his hands. Part of the bathroom experience anyway.
