How to deal with after shaving?

So I just shaved down there a few days ago and so now it’s growing back. My skin is all red and irritated, there’s a few ingrowns, there’s pimple like things. This doesn’t usually happen. Any reasons why? And how to help it?

Here’s something that really changed my life with shaving: 
1. Take your full shower before shaving. Let the hot water soak into your skin and open your pores (it will make less red bumps come up later)
2. Lather your soap, lots of it!! I just use unscented￼ body soap and it works great for me 
3. (THIS IS IMPORTANT) DO NOT SHAVE UPWARDS!!! Shave with the growth of your hair! If you shave against the growth it will cause the red, painful bumps
4. When you get out of the shower put some coconut oil or unscented baby lotion/gentle face lotion. The more moisture on the skin, the less likely you are to have bumps and razor burn

I use coconut oil or conditioner instead of shaving cream and that really helps with irritation and redness

always shave at the end of your shower (down there) so the hair can soften and open up the pores. i recommend putting coconut oil then shaving with the grain rather against it. also remember to only put the soap or coconut oil on the outside of the vagina as it will get very itchy and hurt. after u finish pat dry instead of rub and put aloe vera on it and make sure it doesn’t go inside the vagina as it will burn like hell. with shaving u will always have a little bit of razor burn a day or two after but trust me if you do all this you should good. i also would continue to put aloe vera on whenever it itches and before bed or when you wake up.

This is a game changer and an exfoliator brush! But you have to test it on a different part off your skin just to make sure it’s not to harsh! I also use coconut oil.
