Am I overthinking this?

I’ve been talking to a guy since the beginning of the year. We went on a handful of dates and I went over a few times before corona took over. He’s a really busy guy. He has a little kid, he works, and is going to school. He had to move back with his parents for the time being, and I obviously haven’t been able to go over. Since, he’s been so busy and he hasn’t texted me as much since the beginning of the month. He would always say he’s sorry and what not. Last week, I invited him over but he said he couldn’t but he wished he was there. I asked him if he really did bc sometimes I don’t know and he told me he’s sorry for being distant. He said he doesn’t want to hurt me or lead me on. I told him I was confused. I told him I like talking to him and don’t want to stop. He then told me that he didn’t mean he didn’t want to stop talking me to, just that he doesn’t know if he can’t give me what I want, like a relationship rn. He said he can’t give his all rn. I told him I know he’s busy and that I understand. We’ve been talking every day since, but he’ll take hours to respond. Which I understand bc he hasn’t been working those days and he’s busy with everything. He texted me first this morning while I was at work and I ask him how his day was. He said he was at the beach with his bro, but has continuously asked me how mine is. That was 3 hours ago and I’m totally overthinking who he’s hanging out with rn. I know I shouldn’t worry but if he’s just hanging out with his “bro” then why not text me? The other thing is that I thought his brother was overseas, or the one he mentioned. Am I just overthinking this all??? Like if he was with another girl he wouldn’t have texted at all while at the beach. Should I just wait for him to text?
