Hey hair stylist ladies out there I have a question

li
Okay so since I was 14 I have dyed the crap out of my hair, I stopped at 18  and finally realized I'm an idiot for killing my hair.
I quit using any kind of heat because it's so thin and damaged, I've also stopped dying it.
It didn't grow past my shoulders for 4 years until I stopped dying it. Now every couple of weeks I get it trimmed, like I want to grow out all the dead and keep trimming it until all the dead is gone. For the first time ever it's actually growing and looking healthy. The picture below is the longest it's been for years. What about cutting your hair makes it grow?? Should I leave it alone or keep cutting the dead ends off.
She'll cut it and it'll grow two inches and she'll cut two inches off because the ends grow out ratty and thin. I'm trying to get my hair fabulous and healthy as it can be. Any tips would be appreciated lovelies ☺️
