Possible c section

I am 37 weeks and today at my appointment my belly measured big at 41 where last week it was right on at 36. When he checked me I was dialated to a 2 and 90% effaced. But he says that it will definitely be a really tight squeeze and there is a high risk I will need a c section. He's doing an ultrasound tomorrow to see just how big the baby is to see if it's necessary to just schedule a c section. Now I by no means like the idea of having to have one but I feel like if I do have to have one, I'd rather it be scheduled so I dont have to endure hours of labor only to end up with a c section. Would I be crazy to try to get him to just schedule it? What's your opinion on it all?

I guess I should add that he thinks I might need c section is because of the size/shape of my pelvis, not the size of the baby.
