Baby eczema

Question

Brought my 10 month old into the ped yesterday and turns out he has eczema! She mentioned using no soap for awhile and putting lotion on. She also prescribed him a steroid oil to put on the bad patches. Any other moms deal with this? What lotion would you recommend? When we do start using soap again, what body wash is best? 
(I already use a fragrance free laundry detergent and always wash new clothes before putting them on him)

okay I have the solution it works like a charm. change LO’s soap to mustela baby gel wash body and face with it than use the mustela baby water on anywhere the acne is finally use the Aveeno baby excema theapy cream it should be gone in no more than three days

This is what I use for my baby, it works very well. I also use Mustela Stelotopia shampoo as anything else will cause dry itchy scalp for my bubs. It can also help to wash baby’s clothes an extra time to get any residual soap out, use a humidifier and an air filter in baby’s room, and coconut oil helps for some babies.

When my son was first born we found J&J baby soap to be too drying and started using Honest Company lavender. Around 4 months he started to develop eczema on his arms and legs. I started using Eucerin baby eczema cream and it helped but didn’t cure. Finally I switched back to J&J baby soap with the Eucerin cream and it cleared up in less than a week. My husband also suffers from eczema so we knew the adult version of the product worked wonders!

This is the wash we use on my son and have no issues with. We also use their baby cream daily, and a flare-up cream on any bad spots so we don’t have to use a steroid cream

Okay so my 10 month old at the time had nasty eczema coating her legs. I refused to buy the steroid cream unless she started experiencing discomfort. I made a lotion out of coconut oil, jojoba oil, Shea butter, vitamin e, and a tiny bit of lavender. It worked amazingly! But honestly just plain coconut is proven to help
