I think it’s fair if you named the first child to perhaps take his choices into consideration first. Maybe you’d be surprised with he comes up with. My brought up our daughters middle name and I was in love with it, and it was already on my list.

I know people who have done this...and it depends on your dynamics as a couple, but I know I wouldn’t in good conscience be able use a name that my husband didn’t agree to.

Nah. We both have veto power over names we hate. Then we both come up with names we love and narrow it down to one we both really like. Naming a child is a huge decision!

I named our daughter personally I wasn’t backing down, then he wasn’t backing down with our second our son so I just used it in the end.... Now this out third he said if we have a boy I wanna name him blah blah but funny we’re having a girl and I named her it’s mutual though just one of us pick tho
