Small Gender reveal ideas to surprise my kids?!

I want to just do the reveal with my 2 sons. I need cute but simple ideas. Also do you think I should be surprised with them or should I know to plan it?? Help what do y’all think??

How old are they? 
You two could always wear white shirts and put paint in squirt guns and let them shoot you with the color paint, pink and blue boiled eggs with one raw one being the gender, we did paper mache volcanoes with my gender reveal for my twins and let my son pour in the baking soda and the foam was the gender color, paint filled water balloons
