Protest going to far?

East San Jose protesters vandalizing people’s cars on the freeway, trying to drag people out of their cars and blocking traffic. Is this truly the way to go about things?!!

Vandalism looting burning etc is NOT how to protest.  That's crime in itself.    There are so many ways to handle things besides that.  Hurting innocent people is no better than what they're "protesting"

Okay here’s the thing...black people have peacefully protested time and time again. And I mean TIME AND TIME AGAIN. Every time this happens they peacefully protest and you know what happens. nothing,  until another black person gets shot. Then you look at the past the Boston tea party hell the whole revolutionary war that was looting AND violence. And you ask yourself does any of it even matter? If they’re gonna peacefully protest and become a local news segment then they can do that but it won’t foster any change. I mean they killed MLK THEY DON’T CARE. NOTHING MATTERS. If they don’t do something radical this will go away in a couple weeks and in a month another black man will be shot down by a cop and mourned. So let them loot maybe if they have something to lose they’ll stop murdering innocent people.

I mean people are literally dying for being not white. I think the response matches the ridiculousness of being a racist piece of shit and using the power you have to allow/assist in someone's death when they've done nothing wrong.

i don't think it's ideal, but i also know that riots are often the result of resentment over broader issues (in this case racial tensions, police brutality, etc.) and garner attention and change (the officer was charged with murder and three others are being investigated). i don't think most people genuinely want to destroy their communities, and i would be devastated if something happened to my property. it's just a bit of a grey area for me bc many members of the most systematically disadvantaged groups are backed into corners time and time again and then expected to just accept it.

I mean I can’t say for sure, I do think in America that’s a good way to get shot with a lot of people open or conceal carry. I know I’d be spray my pepper spray if someone tried to drag me out of my car or hitting the gas; mainly because I always have my son with me.

Violence doesn’t erase past violence. It’s never the answer. Everyone has a right to be upset over injustice but in my opinion this is not how to handle it effectively, maturely, or productively
