When your in labor

Question

When you are in labor, do you have to put the mask on or no? I HOPE NOT!  
When you enter the hospital you gonna use the mask but once you are in the room you take it off ? Right ?

At MY hospital I dont have to wear it while in the room 
You need to call YOUR hospital and ask about their policy

I can’t even imagine trying to control your breathing, pushing a baby out, while wearing a mask. I struggle to breathe when I’m just at my appointments.

My hospital requires you wear it all through labor and delivery and for the remainder of your stay after. You can take it off if there’s no staff in the room but of course during labor and delivery they will be in there quite a bit.

I didn’t need to wear it. I wore it into triage and thought I would need to keep it on until I got admitted but the nurse removed it during one of my contractions and that was that.

Our hospital policy was to have it on entire time but the nurses said to just ask each nurse that came in to your room what they preferred bc most didn’t care if you took it off. But I live in Wv with no cases so it might be different if you’re in a highly affected area.

Some places you have to keep it on the entire time even when in your room, others you can take it off and only have it on when in the hallways or being moved from one room to another
