What does a break mean to you?

Do you think seeing what else is out there is cheating? I’m thinking of Ross and Rachel lol. Him and I both want different things  I feel were just to comfortable to leave one another and I’d have to do the break up but I can do the break...

I think it's different for everybody. If you and your SO decide to "go on a break" you should communicate what you mean by that. Because then you just end up getting hurt or hurting that person, like with Ross and Rachel.

Sometimes you just need a break to focus on yourself for a while. That’s how it was for me. I rushed into a relationship with a guy right out of high school, moved in with him after 6 months of being together. We lived together for a whole year and were just so dependent on each other. We decided it would be best for both of us to just take a break and see who were without each other. We were apart for about 7-8 months, and in that time it gave us both a chance to grow as individuals. We both talked to other people but it wasn’t anything serious. We realized we really were right for each other and ended up getting back together. The time apart really did make our relationship stronger. Now we are engaged with a beautiful baby boy. If it’s meant to be, it will be! ❤️

It really depends. When my boyfriend and I took one we didn’t set any boundaries or anything. For me it was to work on myself. He did the same, but he also slept with one person. He did it specifically to hurt me (long, messy story). It took awhile but he eventually told me what happened. I was hurt but forgave him because we weren’t together and we didn’t talk about seeing other people. That was 3 years ago. We got back together after 2 weeks. July is our 4 year anniversary. It sucks and I think about it from time to time, but it wasn’t cheating

You need to talk to him and both come to an agreement on what a break means. 
IMO if you want to see other people while taking time apart then you might as well breakup so you don’t have the burden of technically still being with the other person on the back of your mind. 
I think if you need to see other people while taking a break then you should break up. I took a break with my boyfriend and we each just took a week to ourselves and spent time with friends and family. Neither of us had any desire to see other people because we knew we were in someway still tied to one another.

If youre thinking of other people leave the person for good.  Breaks arnt a option in my relationship.  As we always work through things no matter how rough it gets, It only makes our relationship stronger.  Ive never been the type to "Take a break" but i know people do it if they need time to themselves. I dont think its a good opportunity to go out with other people, i say thats immature.

I think you should take a break, reflect on yourself and know your self worth. You said there are red flags so don’t try to ignore them
