Friends with your ex

My ex and i don’t talk much he texts me maybe 3 times a month asking how I’m doing etc but I really feel deep in my heart that he only asks to be nosy and to keep tabs on me. I also kinda feel like he doesn’t care about me like recently i posted a pic on Snapchat and he commented on it saying “you think you cute huh” he always makes comments like this to me. I’m so over all of it. At this point I just want to move on a fully get over him. The anxiety in me is telling me to ghost him that way i don’t have to have a huge argument if i ask him about my concerns. But, the next time he texts me “hey” what should I say or do?
