What are you doing to prep for labor?

Tatyana

This is my second pregnancy and with my first I had a pretty smooth labor. I’m hoping to do similar things;

I will start all of these things at 36 weeks.

1) Raspberry Leaf Tea- a cup a day and increasing each week by an extra cup per day (1 cup at 36 weeks, 2 cups at 37 weeks, 3 cups at 38 weeks...)

2.)6-7 Dates a day (this also helps soften the cervix)

3.) vaginally inserting evening primrose gel capsules (1300mg) (this helps soften the cervix)

4) exercise ball bouncing and hip rolls (20-30minutes a day) I actually already started this (help baby get engaged in down into my pelvis)

5) extra cardio every night. I already workout for an hour a day but that is mostly strength training. I’m hoping to walk throughout my neighborhood for about an hour every night

Anyone doing anything else? I did all of these things the first time around and went into labor naturally at 38 weeks 4 days. When I got to the hospital I was 6cm dilated and 90% effaced. It took me 3 hours to get to 10cm. Pushed for 1 hour and had my baby girl. I’m hoping for a similar experience even though I know every brith is different.
