Officially done breastfeeding.

I'm kind of sad about it. We made it 13 months! Considering I only made it about a month with my first child I consider this a smashing success.

I think her and I both knew it was time. She slowly stopped being interested in nursing during the day. It got to the point where she was only nursing right before bed for comfort. Then slowly those nursing sessions got shorter and shorter. Before long she was fine just going straight to bed.

After 4 days of not nursing my breasts had become full (my supply was very slow to fill but after that long they had) so I nursed her just for some relief. I know looking down at her sweet face that this would be the last time.

That was almost 2 weeks ago and my breasts haven't filled again. She hasn't wanted them. It's over. I'm so proud of myself for exclusively nursing her - and I mean *exclusive* since she never took a single bottle. Every feeding, every day, for 13 months was straight from my breast.

My sweet baby is now a big girl.

I'm going to miss this.
