Would you allow your child sleepovers/friends over

So as I child I was never allowed anyone in the house at all everyday I would be at my friends houses sleeping over at the weekends and they was always ask when is it turn to sleep over/play at my house. I used to always get embarrassed when they asked. My mother never used to allow anyone in the house because she said she wasn’t going to let her house get in a mess and if I wanted to play I had to do it at a friends and mess there house up instead. My friends if they called and I told them to wait a second why I got my coat or nipped to the toilet they wasn’t even allowed to stand in the hallway and wait she would make them wait outside even in rain or snow. I was never allowed anyone over for birthday parties I think it’s just really selfish I’m 21 now and she doesn’t let people in sometimes she might let someone just stand inside for a few minutes but that’s it.
