Hemangioma?

My sweet March baby had a bruise-like lump on her leg that wouldn’t go away. At her 12 month appointment the doctor said it was likely a hemangioma. He told me to monitor it and let him know if it changed color or size, but that it would likely go away by age two. 
It changed. It got slightly larger and darker. Now we have to see a dermatologist. I feel really anxious. I know these are common, but she wasn’t born with it. It popped up at like 10 months old. 
Does anyone have any experience with something similar? Here are some photos. The first is from a few months ago, and the second is from yesterday.

Both of my kids have hemangioma on their back of the neck from birth on. Caused by pressure during birth. I was also googling it a lot since their hemangiomas are quite big. They are pretty regular from birth on but they can also appear later (your case) and mostly it is a wait and see. It is a very small spot you have there, my kids have it like 10cm spots so I would not worry that much. My pediatrician actually did not even mention it too much she just said that there is something like that but I never had the feeling that I have to check it or be worried about it.

Try not to worry mama. My daughter has a small hemangioma on her arm. It’s changed a bit in size size she was born, but so has she. If it doesn’t appear to be causing her any pain to the touch it should be nothing to be concerned about. In the pic it sort of looks like a pimple or ingrown hair? The dermatologist should be able to put your mind at ease 😊
