Missed miscarriage misoprostol/cytotec

Hi everyone, I want to share my story in case it's of any use to someone. A MMC was diagnosed at my 8+4 ultrasound. The baby stopped growing around 5 weeks. I was told I could wait for everything to happen naturally so I did. Ten days after the diagnosis I got a slight fever (37.5 Celsius) so I went to the ER to get checked, to be on the safe side. My blood tests were good but, given the fever, they decided to speed the miscarriage up with misoprostol. It was about to happen naturally on its own (the us showed) but they wanted to help my body a bit. At 3 pm the doctor inserted 4 200mg pills as far as possible and moved them around a bit with her hand. I lay down for 5 minutes and then got up. They wanted to keep me in the hospital for 24hrs as a precaution, again because of the slight fever. I started bleeding around 5pm and from 11pm to 4am I passed 3 big clots and 2 tissue like things which were probably the gestational sac and other "products of conception" as the doctors call them. I managed to save these last two and am planning on burning (as they do in many cultures) or burying them with my husband. At 11 am the following morning they did an ultrasound that showed that I was clean. I didn't lose much blood at all so I wasn't sure that everything had come out. I was never in any pain. I hope my story can help someone and I'm sorry if you're going through the same thing.
