So after googling Floyd’s autopsies, I care across this.

A tldr: cops will often say that someone was suffering from excited delirium when they die in police custody and it’s proven they had even a recreational amount of rugs( particularly meth) in their system. They use this as a way to say they died because of this and not the forceful restraint used against them.

They also found this was almost only used when young black men died in their system.

Now if we look at this chart, white people are more likely to use meth than black people at over double the rate. So why is it that only when black men die in police care they use this?

I’ll give you a hint, it’s racism.

If this is a common tactic used to excuse excessive force, how would we combat the capability for this to be justified? How do we take out all excessive force?
