Extreme sharp pain

Ok so I have the Skyla iud

I just got it a little over a week ago. Yesterday morning I woke up to the WORST sharp pain in my lower abdomen. Like it was so bad I felt like I was going to puke. Guys I gave birth with Pitocin contractions WITHOUT an epidural. And THIS was the worst pain I’ve ever felt. It felt like I was being stabbed. So I go to the bathroom and there’s some blood. I’ve been spotting since I got it in but this was. Tad bit more than spotting. I checked and I could still feel the string.

I called the hospital ( because it was Sunday) and the OBGYN I talked to said that since the pain went away, I wasn’t bleeding anymore, and I could feel the string I was fine. But I am SOO nervous. We haven’t had sex since because I’m afraid it’s not in right and I’m not trying to have another (my lo is 5 months lol)

Anyone else experience anything similar?
