Fiance told me that he hates me sometimes!!!

So we were falling asleep. And the fan was on. It was making a weird noise. And my fiance sleeps right by the fan. So I told him what's that noise. He told me it's from the fan. I asked him if he can fix it so that weird noise would stop and he told me that he hates me sometimes. I asked him what and then he said I hate somethings you say. Idk what to think. It was out of the blue for him to tell me that he hates me sometimes. I didn't say anything. I just went to bed. In the morning I told that it was very rude what he told me and he tried to deny it and said he loves me just hates some stuff I do. Do you think he really meant what he said??
