Ring question

hey girls, today I’ve made a mistake with my ring I took it out a week before I was supposed to ( today is the 17th and I was supposed to take it out on the 24th). So I have a few questions if I get my period the time my ring should of been out 24th to the 1st should I wait until the 1st to put it in like I was supposed to and then wait the 7 days for it to be effective ? or should I put it in during my period for immediate effectiveness? But then change my ring cycle date.
