How to offer help to family of someone dying
My 59 year old aunt is terminally ill with cancer and only has a few weeks left. She only has one child, my cousin. My cousin has had a lot of issues (drugs, eating disorders, mental illness) for years and has shut herself off from everyone in the family. I love her and her mother and I’m devastated by the news. I don’t know how to approach my cousin and offer her my help whether she needs it to help clean and dress her mother, or cleaning the house, or grocery shopping or whatever she needs. I don’t want her to have to go through this alone at such a young age, she’s 21. I also don’t want her lashing out at her father for letting me know what her mother’s situation is. Does anyone have advice on how to reach out to her and what to say? Thanks
