TMI is this my mucus plug? 38 weeks

Hey ladies. So yesterday I thought my water had broken and went to the doctor to have the test done just to make sure (10:30am). I was also having decent cramping. Low and behold, I was wrong 😂🤦🏼‍♀️ My doctor also checked my cervix and I am no more dilated than I was a week ago but she could feel babies head. The exam also made me spot a little 🙄 I was sent home and told to relax because I only have 2 weeks left and baby could come any time now.

This is kind of gross so sorry in advance...

Fast forward to a few hours later (probably 6pm), I used the bathroom and when wiping, this came out ON MY HAND. I have lost small pieces here and there over the last few weeks which doctor says is normal but nothing this big or of this color.

This morning (7:30am) I woke up and used the bathroom. More pinkish red and a small amount of mucus. Could my exam be causing me to dilate and is this my mucus plug? I have a routine check up tomorrow and I will mention all of this to them but I have a busy day today so I’m not sure if I should continue with my plans or take the day off and relax!
