Gestational diabetes?

Im 18 weeks now but I took the 1 hr at 16 weeks and 3 hr glucose test at 17 weeks. Failed both ☹️ I have to speak with a nutritionist and monitor my blood sugar I think now. What I’m wondering ( I’ll ask her during my appointment) is my sugar that bad? Obviously it’s bad cause I failed but i feel so guilty knowing I failed. Before the pregnancy and almost all my life I’ve been overweight but never diabetic. Always had issues with my sugar, doctor would scare me about diabetes so I  would exercise lose weight and was healthy for a while. Weight always up and down. 
But what I’m really wondering is am I diabetic and this isn’t just GD? It’s been two years since I’ve seen a regular doctor so idk if in those two years I became diabetic? Since it’s so early in my pregnancy that I’m being diagnosed with GD?   
(I’m going to ask the doctor but I just wanted to hear from someone who’s gone through this please cause I’m stressed out)

I barley passed my 3 hour test but there still making me test my blood sugar. I was told by the dietitian to test 1hr after eating doctor now tells me it 2hrs after eating. Dietitian said to be under 130 on my surgar levels so I have been happy with my numbers now my doctor wants me under 120. The dietitian told me to cut out everything I like to eat like fruit and juice and even limate the milk im drinking. My doctor says some fruits are okay. I'm just tried of being told different things. My sugar levels are good or so I thought now I have to go on insulin i don't know what else to do im tired of eating 5 times a day and cooking 2 different meals. Ill do what they tell me but for a test that I passed there sure taking this to the extreme. My baby is all that matter her health im 27weeks and im just fed up and craving things I can't have.

I failed mine by quite a bit at 27 weeks. I failed 3 of the 4 draws and by a lot. I fasted form 12-9 but I read somewhere it is supposed to be 12 hours. It is tough to deal with but I didn’t have it at 20 weeks so it can develop at any time. Yes, you got diabetes during pregnant it’s usually caused by the placenta somehow. I know that there is a risk of developing type two diabetes after birth from having gestational diabetes. But I don’t believe that is common.

I just failed my 3hr test at 31 weeks and failed by just a few points, it is what it is. To be honest I ate a boat load of sugary things before my test and think I just screwed myself! I have to monitor my blood sugar. I know I didn’t have diabetes before as I passed the 1hr test at 13 weeks. I’m guessing they will monitor you once baby arrives as it should disappear if it’s GD, so you’ll know for sure at that point.
