How long should you wait for your s/o to ask you out?

I know everyone is a bit different, but I’m curious to see what time frame everyone thinks is appropriate to start getting more serious in the relationship. I’ve been seeing someone for four months now and we still haven’t really discussed moving forward. I like that we’re taking things slow, but would like to see some sort of sign that it’s in the direction of becoming a relationship. Is four months too soon?

No however much time y’all need.. I’ve been talking to someone for 6ish months and we finally got together today!

It was 2 months for me, but he never actually asked. Just started introducing me as his girlfriend and when he did that I mentioned that we’d never had that conversation and he said he just figured that’s where we were. That was over 6 years ago

1 month for me. I feel like after a month you should at least know whether you want to be in a relationship with me or not.

It all depends on you. I told my now husband about a month in, if he wanted to date other people that was fine but I wasn’t going to be one of them. I knew what I wanted.
