Is it a good idea?

So, we’re trying to conceive ... but the CDC has set out the high risk categories for covid 19. That includes pregnant women. They say that a pregnant woman is very likely to have a severe case of covid 19. They would most likely end up in the ICU. So, would you stop TTC because of the virus? My husband recently agreed to start trying, but now I don’t know what to do... is it a good idea? Any advice would be helpful for me!

I’m in the same boat as you. I just stopped taking my birth control last month so we could start ttc. We have officially been trying for one month and now this news comes out. My fiancé and I keep going back and forth on it. Everything is so uncertain right now 😞

You know I was curious about this too. I honestly think it’s a personal choice. It’s so much information daily it’s kind of hard to keep up. It’s still fairly new.
Do what works best for you and your family. Don’t let anyone sway you either way. That 100% YALL CHOICE

I didn't read that... The CDC website I read this morning said women are higher risk than the average person, just meaning they have a higher chance of getting sick. Not that they are basically guaranteed to end up in the ICU if they get it. 
People are getting pregnant and having babies every day. I got pregnant in January and didnt get a choice but I don't regret it one bit. 
Ultimately it's your own personal decision with what you think is best for you

It definitely a personal choice and everyone should know the risks. The CDC did make a statement saying the pregnant women are at a high risk of catching Covid and being put on a ventilator which can lead to preterm labor. It’s scary and we have been advised to take extra precautions!

Are you sure, that it said that high risk? I have'nt checked myself. But, all recent studies say, that pregnant woman are not in more risk than other adults at same age. The problem is, that they don't know the long term effect on baby. Right now, they see, that a baby would'nt catch it in utero. But high temperature as mom is sick might be bad, so mum has to be careful.

My husband and I decided to start trying BECAUSE of Covid. It really made us realize that tomorrow is not a guarantee, so why keep waiting to start planning the family that we both want so badly? As others have said, it is absolutely a personal choice, so you have to do what’s best for your family!
