What’s the most outrageous thing your MIL has ever said to you?

So thank god my mil is no longer part of our lives.  But she said and did some pretty fucked up things toward me.  One memory sticks out the most.
I had two back to back miscarriages.  The first one at 7 weeks, then the second one at 16 weeks.  Shortly after my second loss, we were obviously devastated, me particularly as I had to endure the delivery.
But oh no, she HAD to make it about how much pain SHE was in.  
To make matters worse, the second miscarriage happened around the time I would have been due the first time, so I was really struggling.
She came to me and said, “we were out shopping the other day, and I just simply couldn’t bear to walk down the baby clothes section because it’s around the time MY grandchild would have been born.”
Like hello???? How the fuck do you think I feel???
Then, around the time when my second loss would have been due, a distant family member of hers was due the same week I would have been.  She was very well aware of this.  
She so insensitively came to me telling me how she went to visit the new baby today and how gorgeous he is and how my baby would have been born by now.  
Just seemed like a deliberate attempt to hurt me.
So what about you?? Has your mil said anything really crazy or nasty to you?

We were watching Cheer on Netflix and the coach was talking about giving kids structure and boundaries and my MIL goes “that’s what I’ve always said!” Like

Lady you were barely around since my husband was a toddler and my poor husband waited on the curb for you to pick him up for visits and never showed. And when you had them there were literally no rules and my FIL was the one providing all the structure and boundaries at his house. But

I am so sorry you went through that. It sounds horrible. I don’t actually have issues with my mother in law, I love her so much. It’s my father in law that’s the issue. Last time they came to visit he told us that he worried for our future children because I’m emotionally “cold.” (I’m not cold, just a little shy and reserved. Plus he’s a creep so you better believe I’m cold towards him lol). During the same visit he also told my husband that he’s worried I’m using him for his money and that I just want to mooch off of him and inherit their money after they die. My husband got so angry at that because we make the exact same base salary lol, he makes only a couple thousand more because he gets performance bonuses. 🙄 So not super damaging or outrageous, just kind of weird lol.

I was told “We got lucky this time” when we said all our genetic testing came back and was negative. She thought my husband and i were horrible people because we drank alcohol while TTC.

My mil keeps telling my husband that we don’t know how to discipline our child...I’m 39w so our unborn child and she’s also trying to tell us what to do with our dog (she’s never owned a dog and ours is perfectly fine and trained) but “babies and animals don’t mix in the same household”. She’s legit trying to take over everything from major details to something as insignificant as what he wears home from the hospital. She’s also planned times for HER friends to come meet the baby only a few weeks after he’s born. 🙃 
You’re mil sounds like a nightmare. She may have lost grandchildren but you guys have almost 2 babies and she doesn’t need to be so petty and disgusting.

I'll take your story and raise you one more :( truly not trying to compete I'm so sorry for your losses. I had an ectopic loss at 7w6d. The following year we were pregnant again. Firstly we announced at 12weeks because we had a subchorionic heamorrhage through the first trimester. So after we got the all clear and it was healed. She lost her shit saying we did that on purpose so we were too far to get an abortion! (We were young) Unbeknownst to my Drs the ectopic (which was in my cervix) did permenant damage. So at 19w6d I went into labour after walking around the shops all day, (basically weight of bub on my cervix made it dialate silently, contractioms started when my waters started bulging through it) I was already 7cm when I got to hospital at 7pm, the labour slowed but I inevitably delivered our son Samuel at 9:56pm at 20w exactly. My mother in law refused to come to his funeral and told us "it's not that hard" ( I kind of get it, she lost her daughter who was 14 to leukemia, but still you just don't say that to freshly bereaved parent's). We had another miscarriage months later at 5w4d. The next year we where pregnant again. We anounced between 6 and 9 weeks to people. She hated it. She came up to visit when I was about 26weeks, and literally walked in and said "I'm going to ignore that", gesturing to my my belly. Her tone changed after he was born of course. She did at ine point tell us we were free range parenting, no idea what that is, but it sounded bad by her tone, when literally everyome else I know says we are great parent's. 5 yrs later we were pregnant again and she was more determined to be involved with thaf bub, even came to the baby shower/gender reveal. Visited bub in hospital (both our living bubs were premmies) No mean comments from her in some time lol been together 10.5yrs. We did lose another baby boy at 13w3d last year and we didn't tell her, just after previous experiences weren't comfortable with it tbh. She did many other bad thing's at the start trying to cause us to break up, but I won't even go there right now.

I’ve had a rocky relationship with my MIL since I’ve known her. But this last time (about a week ago) I’ve decided to cut my ties and not deal with her bs anymore. 
But basically, last summer, I was pregnant with my son. It was a couple weeks before my baby shower, and she had gotten upset with my husband about something. But then she started taking it out on me. Saying I’m dirty and a disgrace to the family. She told me that everyone talks bad about me all the time. She called me a whore. Mind you, I have never fought back with her. I was respectful when I did say something, saying that she was a young mom at one point, so I’d like to think she’d understand how stressful it is, and would build another woman up instead of bringing them down. She didn’t have anything to say. 
Come to the birth of my son, she wasn’t there. She was pissed at someone on my side of the family. 
Over the last 10 months, she’s been in and out of our house. She doesn’t work. She stays there when she has a break up with a guy. We’ve provided her with food, place to stay, buy her cigarettes and pop. 
Well, last week, my husband came home on his lunch to take her to a bank to cash a small check she received from a friend. He came back 20 minutes later, covered in pop saying “Mom is moving out.” She was pissed, screaming at him. They’re going back and forth and she said to me “this is all your fault”. I didn’t say anything and she said “you’re a fat, lazy, piece of shit mom. You don’t take care of your kid.” I got up to walk away and she said “Yeah, go cry about it like the sad, depressive bitch you are” And I flipped my shit on her lol. For the first time. I told her that I do take care of my kid. He’s always bathed, fed, and clothed. He never goes without. He has everything he could ever want and need. That my husband and I worked hard to get him everything in this house. I told her that she knew that what she was saying wasn’t true. She said “Why don’t you go admit yourself into another mental hospital, stupid bitch.” My husband told her to get out if she was going to disrespect his wife like that. She slapped him and said I’m only his wife. She’s his mom. He took her stuff and put it outside.

Mine implied that I should do more things for my husband since he is so busy. My husband is going to school full time and genuinely is not busy ALL the time whereas I go to work all day, do all of the grocery shopping, I cook most of our meals, and do most of the cleaning. I almost lost it on her but my husband told her she was being rude and that he really should be doing more and it wasn’t on me to take care of everything. My MIL apologized but it still bothers me... I do SO much for the both of us because I know grad school stresses him out but I am not his care taker and he is a damn grown man. He has since stepped up a lot more because he realized how unfair it’s been.

Not my current mother in law, but when my mother in law from my last marriage saw that my then husband was abusive to me she said "I'm sure you are to him too" when I had never done anything to him. It hurt. A lot.
