Do you regret getting an epidural?

I don’t plan on being pregnant anytime soon but I’ve been looking into the different ways to give birth (hospital, Birth center, water birth, etc) and epidurals.
I’m seeing a lot of women say they regret getting an epidural and that it left them with permanent back pain and damage. Did anyone else have this same experience?

Yes, I regret it. I got the epidural with my last (third) baby a week ago. They placed it three times. First time, they hit a vein. Second time they couldn't thread the catheter. Third time, they hit a nerve. It never kicked in at all. So I went through the pain of them messing it up and had very bad back pain for 5 days after the birth and it was all for nothing. 
I also got one with my second. It took them 3 times (and two hours) to place it. It only slightly kicked in before I gave birth. I could still mostly feel it and it only took the edge off. I regretted getting it with him too. I really don't know why I tried it again with my third. I won't do it with my fourth. It put unnecessary stress and pain on me and wasn't beneficial at all since they never worked.

Not a regret because I thankfully didn't have any lasting effects but it did wear out and for some reason wouldn't administer more medicine so I essentially gave birth naturally and I won't get another. Just don't think the risks are worth the pain relief because I got mine at 8 cm so I know I could've handled it had I known breathing/coping techniques the first time.

Absolutely not. I was in labour for a total of 52 hours, 3.5 hours of that with an epidural and it was 100% necessary for me. My body just shut down because I was too tired and I was stuck at 4cm and exhausted. In those first 3 hours, I dilated to a full 10 and 30 minutes of pushing later my son was born.
It was the best choice for me in that moment and situation, and I would make the same decision over and over if I had to.

Yes and no. More no than yes. It was a good experience for me for the pain blocker wore off while I was pushing, I’m not sure why

I loved my epidural, I was begging for it lol 
As soon as it was placed it started to work instantly. Unfortunately it started to affect my breathing so they turned it off but it still helped with contractions and with pushing because it was still wearing off, the pushing still hurt like a bitch but I’m glad I could feel it

Nope! I've had 4 & planning on getting it again with this pregnancy. I personally havent suffered any side effects & it made labor/delivery bearable for me. 😁

I’m not medically able to have one and actually really happy about that because they make me so nervous. My first was a c-section and I was under general anesthesia.

I had no choice tbh im glad i had one, I wouldn’t say I enjoyed it though
