Puppy’s name too close to daughters?

We are able to pick up our new puppy next week as she’s ready to be rehomed. My daughter, who is 3, is dead set on naming her Charlotte😍 However, my daughters middle name is actually Scarlett!! Is that weird?! Too close?! Am I overthinking?! Dogs are a lifelong commitment so I don’t want to regret the name in the future lol Ipinions appreciated

Since it's a different name, and your daughters middle name, I think it's fine. You could try to convince her to nickname the dog Charlie or Lottie if it bugs you lol but really I think it's fine.

My mom and step father have a dog named Jackie and my step father has a daughter named Jaclyn. It's not weird at all. (We didn't name the dog)
