Cervical Progress? 35+1

At my weekly appointment yesterday, and OB said I was 1cm dilated and 60% effaced, station -2. I’ve been feeling those ticklish/painful cervix-ripening twinges for about 2 weeks now, so I’m not surprised to hear that something is happening...but for my first pregnancy I wasn’t 1cm dilated until 38 weeks and she still didn’t come until 40+6. I never felt the ripening sensations with her. So I’m curious if anyone else is hearing they have similar progression at this stage yet? Baby boy is measuring a week ahead, so really wondering if he might come early on his own!!

My friend just went through this but she was 4 cm, 80% effaced and -2 from 35 weeks till 39 weeks when she delivered finally lol.

My first pregnancy I walked around 4 cm dilated for 5 weeks ! Ended up having him at 40 + 1. It really isn’t an indication of when you’ll have the baby but rather that your body is doing what it should be doing !

I was 1 cm and 50% effaced at 29 weeks. It's progressed to between 1-2 cm dialated and 60% effaced at 32 weeks. I'm now 34 weeks and hoping she stays but even with two hospital admissions due to preterm labor, I am still only between 1-2 cm. They said they may be my baseline.

I’m 33 weeks and already 1cm and his head is VERY low. Baby boy is big and measuring 2-3 weeks ahead. We are trying to keep him in just a little longer 🤞🏻

I don’t get cervical exams during pregnancy this time but I did with my first and I was 1cm from 34 weeks to the day I was induced at 37+5. 
On the other hand My SIL was 4cm from 36 weeks til she went into labor at 40+3 and my best friend was 0cm at 40 weeks and had her baby the day after her due date without induction/augmentation

When I was 36 weeks with my first, I was the same dilation and effacement and he came on his own at 39 weeks exactly. But who knows 😊
