What type of doctor has helped most for you with symptoms?

For those of you with bad PCOS symptoms, what type of doctor helped most with them? I’m talking strictly NON pregnancy stuff.

Answer

Midwife. 
Despite the common misconception, midwives are women’s healthcare professionals. You don’t have to be pregnant or planning to become pregnant to see one. They do everything from paps to birth control to prenatal care to birth. 
It took my midwife 2 appointments to diagnose me with PCOS when it took my prior gynecologist over a year to do anything more than say “just get on birth control to regulate your cycles” even though I was about to start TTC and was so depressed on birth control that I was suicidal. 🤦🏻‍♀️
I’ve never had a bad experience with a midwife. I’ve always had excellent care with one. I cannot say the same for any traditional OBGYN or gynecologist I’ve ever had.
On top of that, my midwife discussed actual solutions for my PCOS symptoms, particularly my irregular cycles. I now take Vitex and Myo-Inositol and they’re now much more regular with normal ovulation. She listened to my concerns and found solutions that worked for me.
