Tomorrow I’ll be 37+5. Not a high risk pregnancy. They told me he is head down, sunny side up at my 36 week appt. I declined a cervix check at that time. 
Would you do a cervix check now? Or decline? I hear women doing both things. Is the benefit just to know if you’re dilated? Otherwise could I just decline?

You can decline them,no reason to get one until labor.

You can decline. I think I alot of women just like to know where they are and if labor might be soon. But as far as I know its honestly not medically necessary so if you dont want to be checked then yes you can decline. If you want to know if theres a medical necessity to being checked then ask your doctor why you are being checked.

I got checked at 37 weeks to confirm baby was head down.  I got Checked at 39 weeks for dilation to indicate if I’d had real contractions or just Braxton Hicks. It made me feel better knowing but wasn’t necessary.

You can decline.   But I wanted to just warn you about the awful labor associated with sunny side up babies!  Idk if your birth plan includes an epidural but don’t rule it out.  It’s quite unpleasant and can be longer due to position.  Good luck!

I just had my 37w apt and my dr asked if I wanted to be checked and I was super curious so I did. It wasn’t to bad at all and I’m 1cm now 🤗

Yes you can decline. It’s not medically necessary. I just like to know how things are going down there.
