Boyfriend Left Me With His Dog...

For the record I LOVE DOGS!! I have 3 of my own, and my boyfriend puppy is the most gorgeous Australian Kelpie.

We’re 20, and normally live out at his farm where she runs around all day. My boyfriend has made the mistake of taking this dog literally EVERYWHERE...she has never been left alone in 7 months. And she has free reign of the house, which is fine and I love her sleeping in the bed with us.

But my boyfriend has gone away for the weekend with some friends, so naturally I took her to my place in the suburbs for the next few days. It’s my mum’s house, so I have to respect her rules. All our dogs sleep in crates and they’re NEVER inside.

I always take her on my runs, so I’ll be running twice a day with her (about 10km total) - hopefully that’s chills her out enough to just sleep in my yard.

My mum is being a real bitch though :/ I understand it’s her house, but she won’t stop complaining whenever she makes the slightest bit of noise - she’s a PUPPY! She said I could have her here as long as I walked and fed her myself and that’s exactly what I’m doing but it just doesn’t seem to be enough. And it’s not permanent, either - only 4 days.

The puppy is far from difficult, my mum almost makes it intentionally hard for me to look after her though with all these rules.

Not sure what to do!!
